⚡️ ZAPP’S TAKE: THE CHIEFS ARE BACK!
Well…they weren’t gone for long.
The Kansas City Chiefs didn’t just beat the Denver Broncos—they dominated them 31–10 and sent a message to the entire AFC:
The Chiefs are back.
Kansas City has now played in five of the last seven Super Bowls, winning three championships. Then came one losing season. Patrick Mahomes blew out his knee. Some people began wondering whether the Chiefs’ incredible run was finally over.
Andy Reid, Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Kenneth Walker III and company answered that question emphatically.
As a diehard Buffalo Bills fan, I’ll take Josh Allen over every quarterback in the league—bar none, including Patrick Mahomes.
But until Josh proves he can win the biggest games and bring a championship home to Buffalo, he isn’t in the same conversation with Mahomes when we’re talking about accomplishments.
You can debate who possesses more natural talent. You can argue about which quarterback you would choose to lead your team. But no active quarterback can match Mahomes’ postseason résumé:

Mahomes is the most accomplished active quarterback in football.
And please excuse me for previously using the term GOAT when discussing Mahomes. We must pay homage and show proper respect to the one true GOAT—the man who now owns part of the Las Vegas Raiders:

Now, let’s make this personal.
As if being a Bills fan didn’t already give me enough reason to root against Kansas City, I also selected Denver as my Stretch Pick on my Zapp League Game Board.
That didn’t work out very well.
Denver turned bright red on my board, I took the −1, and I finished the week with 17 points.
That red Denver box hurts—but that is exactly what makes the Zapp League so much fun.
